The fresher the ingredients the better, here’s all you’ll need:

Ingredients

  • 8 8 Slices of Baguette (or any bread that tickles your fancy)

  • 1 cup 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, chopped

  • 2 2 Garlic Gloves (Because who doesn’t love garlic?)

  • 2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil (The good stuff)

  • 2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil (Feel free to add more if you’re feeling fancy)

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon table salt (Just a pinch pinch will do)

Directions

  • Chop it up: Chop the cherry tomatoes, red onion and garlic
  • Mix It Up: In a bowl, combine the chopped cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Give it a good stir and let those flavors mingle!!! like a fun party for your taste buds!
  • Get Toasty: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay out your bread slices on a baking sheet and sluther them with extra virgin oil and toast them in the oven until they’re golden and crispy—about 5-7 minutes (turn half way). Keep an eye on them; we want toast, not charcoal!
  • Top It Off: Once your baguette slices are perfectly toasted, pile on that delicious tomato mixture. Don’t be shy; the more, the merrier!
  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately and watch as your guests turn into a hungry swarm! Enjoy the compliments!! You deserve it!

Notes

  • You can use any bread you like for your bruschetta—there’s no bread police here! I usually go for a baguette because it’s just so fancy, but let your carb-loving heart decide!

  • If you want to get a jump on the fun, chop up all your ingredients and stash them in the fridge ahead of time. Then, just pop those bread slices in the oven to get nice and toasty right before serving. This way, all you have to do is assemble your masterpiece! Trust me, nobody likes soggy bread, and we want your bruschetta to shine like the star it is!
